Registration, your polling place, absent voter ballots and results.
The Township Clerk administers all elections held in Ashgrove Township. If you are unsure whether you are registered, or where you vote, start with the state voter lookup.
Registering to vote
- You may register at any time, including on election day, at the Clerk office with proof of residency.
- You must be a citizen, at least 18 by election day, and a resident of the Township for at least 30 days.
- Registering online through the state is the quickest route if you hold a Michigan licence or state ID.
Voting absentee
Any registered voter may request an absent voter ballot without giving a reason. Requests must reach the Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election. Completed ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. on election day — a postmark is not enough.
Accessible voting
Every polling place in the Township has an accessible voting terminal with audio ballot and tactile controls, and kerbside voting is available on request. If you need assistance, two election inspectors of different parties may help you, or you may bring someone of your choosing other than your employer or union representative.
